This Lunar New Year was suprisingly enjoyable to the extend where I didn't want it end. One week spent in Uncle's place reminded me how long it has already been since the whole family stayed in one roof and sat down in a table for a meal. Truthfully, I wasn't excited nor I was looking forward for New Year.
I never did.
However thankfully the circumstances is changing to the right direction. Slowly but changing. I manage to persevere through the First Day by engaging myself into the environment. "Think at the bright side."

An evening at the beach with the whole family after Aunt insisted that she hasn't seen the ocean for years.
The usual annual lion dance to lighten up the atmosphere of Chinese New Year.
Last but not least, firecrackers.
Needless to say, the young ones were infact the spotlight in the house all the time. When we, teenageers, occupy ourselves to help our mothers and grandmothers, the little ones will entertain us with their amusing acts and cute accents. There was a night to remember when everyone gathered around the 3 chicky brats and started laughing endlessly as they play charades. No doubt they are the highlight that brighten up our mundane new year.
